My aunt got an R.6 to help with her fibromyalgia and she raved about it vastly improving her quality of life, so I decided to get one as well. I’m so happy I made the investment. My favorite is the full body massage program followed by the focused glutes and lower back massage. It’s the perfect remedy for relieving the stress in my upper back, neck and shoulders from being hunched over a computer most of the day. I’m definitely sleeping better after getting the chair. Highly recommend checking this out. You won’t regret it.

This isn’t your normal robotic feeling massage chair; the R.6 truly feels lke human hands, and the rollers feel a lot more precise than other massage chairs I’ve gried. Love the Stretch and Recovery sessions, and the mid-century modern design is beautiful.

Tried out quite a few chairs before deciding on this one. Matt & Jacki at Furniture for Life did a great job of informing and guiding us through the many options we had to choose from. We had a monthly massage subscription that we were looking to convert into a chair, so this was a big decision for us. We can now use this chair post gym workout, in the morning to wake up, or to relax in the eve before bed. Two months in, and here are my positives and “negatives” of the device and process. Positives: Solid build. You can tell the device was well constructed, and you feel it once in the chair. The adjustable shoulders allow for a tailored fit for many heights. The small footprint allows for versatility when choosing a place for it. The removable feet and back pads allow you to customize in terms of overall strength and feel. Being able to link two programs together allows for a longer session without having to pick the controller back up. Negatives: It’s 2024 and we’re still using a corded remote for this device?! It would be great for Ohco to make the jump to Bluetooth, and allow you to interface with the device from your smartphone. This would open the door for so much more versatility (custom settings, profiles, etc.). The pocket that is made for you to place the remote is very small, and is difficult to place remote in once you are fully reclined, so you are left with the corded remote in your lap. Idea: make the remote with a magnetic back so you can place it on the side of the chair. Head pad: the adjustment here needs to be expanded so that users of different heights can get max benefit from the back portion. The way it is stitched limits this. The lower leg section: this part works well, and allows you to push down with your legs to fully settle into the chair, however, the springs built into this portion simply pushes back on your legs once you relax, sending your knees back upward, lowering the utilization of this feature. This feels like it could be fixed with a profile feature, or even a “save” option. You have to feel it to understand it. Install: We opted for the paid “white glove” install service. Be warned….it is not “white glove.” Let’s call it grey glove ;-). There were two installers, and it was clear from the jump that only one of them had any real experience building and installing chairs. While they did lay down mats for bringing the chair in, they still managed to scrape a side of the chair….not too big, but a scrape nonetheless. I ended up staying close at this point to watch, and they had to refer to the build manual way more than they should, which prompted me to look through the manual as they went. They forgot to install a key screw on the leg portion, and only caught it at the end, prompting them to uninstall a good portion in order to get back to that area. In doing this, they chose to lift the chair in the wrong place, which sent the lower section crashing to the floor! It was a bad overall install experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Go get a buddy to help you carry it into your house, build it yourself, and save the $250 fee.

We recently acquired the OHCO R.6 and we love it. My wife and I use it 2 or 3 times a day, may wear it out at this rate, but I think it is well built enough to take the use.

I have had a couple massage chairs and this is clearly the best! It handles my 6′ 5″ frame well and seems to find all of the necessary points, especially on the lower back. Highly recommend!
